Give us a theme, any theme...

One of our favorite "assignments" is creating birthday outfits for your little ones. I especially love when mom says, "here's the theme, go for it." It's really an honor and a privilege to be trusted to select the applique, fabrics, and design. And it's just plain fun!!! For this particular order I was given a photo of the party plate, and simply asked to make a coordinating tee or onesie. Yay! Music to my ears!
Here is the finished product along with the adorable decorations that inspired it.  Many thanks to Keisha, and to all of our friends/customers who have trusted us to create something as adorable and unique as their kiddos are!

Happy New Year! Sorry it's been so long...

Well the holidays have come and gone and we have seen almost everything there is to see on Pinterest, so here we are...back at our machines! We've got lots of new ideas for 2012. Here is just a little sneak peek at a fun birthday applique for a darling little diva!

Matilda Jane+Simply Stella+Us=Four Haute Mommas

Today we were lucky enough to spend the afternoon visiting with friends, showing our THM creations and even doing a little shopping of our own! Caitlin Gossen, our favorite Matilda Jane trunk keeper, brought the latest collection for us to oooh and ahhh over.  It is ridiculously adorable to say the least! I know several little girls who are going to have fabulous fall wardrobes. And since I don't have a little girl of my own, I got to shop vicariously for Rebecca's daughter. I wouldn't trade my boys for the world, but oh what fun it is to dress a girl!

In addition to Matilda Jane, our friend Brittany Elmore had her wares on display. Brittany is the creative mind behind Simply Stella Studio, a line of custom melamine tableware. You may have even come across her boutique on Etsy. There truly is something for EVERYONE in her collection...little Saints and LSU fans, included. If you missed the show but want to see more, let us know. We can get you in contact with either of these gals.

A Blog is Born

Rebecca and I have been toying around with the idea of a blog for a while now. And although we LOVE embroidery, there is a long, long list of other things we enjoy just as much. So we decided that this humble little blog would be about EVERYTHING we enjoy....reading, throwing parties and entertaining, fashion and make-up and all things feminine, cooking (ok, I love to cook, Bec...not so much), and we especially adore our "littles"...our most precious creations, and the reason we became friends way back in 2008:) 
Last but certainly not least, I want to mention how much we love our sweet hubbies. They work hard so we can stay home with the littles, and they encourage our creativity and ambitions. We are lucky girls, indeed!
